What would you do to save your loved one?

And do you know who she really is?

They took your fiancée.

They framed you for murder.

You're given one chance to save her. To clear your name.

You must kill someone for them.

They give you the time and place.

The weapon. The target.

You have less than 24 hours.

You only know that no-one can be trusted...and nothing is what it seems.

I am shocked to say that this is the first of Simon Kernick's books that I've not enjoyed. I struggled to finish it, if I'm honest. He usually writes, foot to the floor, hang on to your hat...this was more 'Driving Miss Daisy' Time to look for a new favourite author?

Not one of his best I'm sad to say!

Sadly disappointed with this one. Having listened to many of Simons other books I had high hopes for this one, yet the first half of it had the feel of copy and paste from his earlier novels. It did pick up second half but when compared to others it’s like he’s rang this one in

Have heard before sadly
