Özet
The second gripping thriller in the Kate Brannigan series, from No.1 Sunday Times bestseller Val McDermid.

PI Kate Brannigan is hired to investigate a series of strange financial scams across Manchester. At first it looks like a discrepancy with the paperwork, but the deeper Kate digs, the murkier the case becomes.

Before long she’s up to her neck in crooked land deals – and murder – and her own life is on the line…

"A satisfying range of villains, Manchester and its environs turn deeply sinister and Brannigan toughs and wisecracks her way to a solution." THE TIMES

"Kate Brannigan deserves promotion to the top rank, alongside Kinsey Millhone and V.I. Warshawski. Plot, characterization, pace are all first-rate, and Brannigan is one of the most likeable of all today’s PIs."

Very good book, I'm finding as I get older it's more enjoyable to listen to books as I tend to lose concentration after a while if reading by myself, I've always enjoyed reading but age brings other problems.
The book seemed more gripping than the other one I had read.
The narrator I find is quite good as on several occasions I actually thought there were more people reading.
I look forward to reading more in this series.

Quite Gripping.

Narration was spot on. Especially the regional dialog. As usual val McDermid delivers first class audio books.
