For a millennia, they sat waiting, traveling through the dark, empty, cold vacuum of space, plotting our demise. Every continuity was planned in detail. They were ready to wipe out our armies, crush any resistance, and sweep aside any warriors. Mankind’s fate was sealed. It was only ever just a matter of time. What they had not planned for - what they are not ready for - is Karen! Any likeness between Karen and any real persons alive or dead is purely inevitable.

Another hilarious tale from Simon. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. A solid effort. Well done. Similar to what another review pointed out, this is British in nature (references, slang, style of humor etc.) and just every so often, I felt the delivery missed the mark, because it was narrated in an American accent. Still very funny though. I give Karen 5 stars.

Get Me Your Manager..

Karen is looking for a manager, the only problem is she was looking for one on a spaceship in the middle of space with aliens who want to take over the world. Unfortunately for them they put their portal right and Karen’s front garden and after a drunken night she inadvertently went through it. She is the only thing between awesome and aliens… God help us all! I read this book on Kindle and now I have listen to it on audible and I must say a rather the Kindle version. Karen lives in Council housing somewhere in Britain and so I was expecting to hear a British accent and was disappointed when the narrator sounded American. I thought you did an OK job but sounded stilted and parts of a reading. I still love Simon cars books and would listen to them if the Cookie Monster read them, but having said that I just wish he would get British narrators, Because most of these books or set in Britain. I highly recommend this book it is still funny and laugh out loud good time!
