For years, Connor and others in the colony have unraveled the mysteries of New Earth and the global catastrophes that nearly destroyed its previous inhabitants. Their work led to the discovery of other worlds beyond the known universe.

It became clear that many of those worlds had been attacked by an interdimensional invader that left untold amounts of manipulation, hardship, and annihilation in its wake. It’s only a matter of time before the colony becomes the next target.

When a trusted ally requests Connor’s help to investigate claims of new widespread invasions, he has no choice but to help. Connor believes that the only way to stop the invader is to find their homeworld, but its location is a closely guarded secret. Many civilizations sought to discover the invader’s homeworld, and none have succeeded.

Time is running out for the colony, and Connor and a team of CDF soldiers may be the only thing that stands between survival and annihilation.

Invasion is the 11th book in the best-selling military science-fiction series First Colony. Listen to the 11th book of this epic today!

Excellent book with a nice way to wrap things up for a large part of the series, with enough of a foothold for a continuation and spin off series.

The narrator has done and excellent job once again of bringing this fictional world to life through his voice and passion for the series.

Excellent continuation to my favourite series

The book is basically the end of the Krake problem with the colonists rescuing all the NECs and saving the Ovaro whilst basically ending the Krakes ability to ever wage war again through the means of a probablely complete act of genocide of the Krake on the part of the colonists. The book is also well timed as any more books about the Krake would have been too much: goes out on a high! Also we get to see the launch of the Ark 2 to the new world 3 light years away. Some dear friends die in this book which is sad in its way but they go out in good, honourable and meaningful deaths. Although I don't think we'll get to see it in future novels it'd be interesting to see how the Ovaro get on with their societies now that their over-lords are gone for good. Will they use the gateway technology to work with (or against) other Ovaro in the other universes? All-in-all the book is a fine listen. It'll be interesting to see what happens next on New Earth and the second colony. Well worth a credit.

Perfect ending to the Krake wars
