A rich and exciting feline fantasy world in which epic battles for territory and honour are played out, perfect for fans of Brian Jacques’ Redwall series.
When ‘kittypet’ Rusty strays into the forest beyond his owner’s garden and is ambushed by a wild cat, life as he knows it is over.
After a brave fight, he is invited to leave the ‘twoleg’ world and join ThunderClan, one of four cat tribes, to train as a warrior.
Rusty becomes Firepaw and learns laws of the wild – hunting and fighting to protect the clan’s survival.
When the fearsome ShadowClan threaten ThunderClan’s territory his warrior skills are put to the test. But how can he protect the clan when he suspects their own deputy of treachery?

I saw this and dismissed it at first, thinking it was not my usual listen and then I went back to look again, I think I was curious how a story about cats would go.
That was the best decision I made, the story is well-written and the narration is very good, the story becomes real in your mind and I found myself having more feeling for the characters in this book than any other I've listened to for a long time.
Excellent listen and I can't wait to hear the rest of this series
A refreshing change
