such an insight into pediatric intensive care, how health professionals manage to be such heros, how society has failed some children. Suzanne is an expert storyteller. it's a sad book but the message you are left with is so positive - live every moment, give back as much as you can. wonderful

I absolutely loved listening to her. Her storytelling is one a kind. Suzanne is a remarkable person, doctor and author. Thank you for your heartfelt reflection and reminder to each one of us how to be humans before being doctors.

This was one of the most beautiful books I have listened to. I rarely leave a review but the way this book explored the lives of critically ill children and the way they were cared for enabling them to recover or to have a beautiful death was wonderful. I was just sorry when it came to an end!
