From infancy we are taught to edit ourselves, trimming out the darker, weirder, less acceptable parts in order to please others. But this addiction to approval is holding us back.
What if we begin to be ourselves, honestly and fully?
Insanely Gifted shows how to transform our thinking and turn our inner demons into allies. How to reframe disappointment (because not getting what we want can be as interesting and useful as getting what we want). Through techniques to become aware of our Inner Critic, and exercises such as Full Body Listening, Catto invites us to better know our deepest instincts and unlock our true power.

What did you like most about Insanely Gifted?
'Insanely Gifted' is essentially concerned with opening up the human heart, dispelling the fear therein (which too often lays waste to human potential and creativity) and giving human beings permission to embrace life as fully as possible. Jamie Catto's personal warmth and bravery in recounting his own life experiences is inspiring. This book is probably not for the cynical or jaded, but who knows! Essentially generosity and trust are at the heart of his philosophy. I loved it.What was one of the most memorable moments of Insanely Gifted?
In the final chapter Jamie Catto's conclusions about how the world currently works is very succinct. Depressing so, but clear eyed in my opinion and helpful if one really wants to start making a difference on the planet. What about Jamie Catto’s performance did you like?
He seems genuinely humble and often amused at his own human frailty.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh AND cry.Any additional comments?
Jamie Catto for President.Authenticity Explosion...YES PLEASE!

Author is healthy sceptical of new age, self help but, for me, the book is let down by a call to activism and change at the end - diluted the message of the rest of the book.
Still recommended read for creative professionals and anyone needing I pitch and promote for work and business. The heart/patience/self awareness stuff may be too woo-woo for some folk but it's the future of relationships and life and the competitive edge.
Save yourself time on acquiring new self awareness and skills with this audiobook. Make sure your practice.
Good for creative professionals and others in the new age of work
