What separates the best from the rest? Their edge. This transformational guide — written by a coach to Olympians, CEOs and high performers worldwide - reveals how to find your edge and become a serial winner.
TRUE HAPPINESS IS FOUND IN BECOMING WHAT YOU’RE CAPABLE OF.
Performance is for everyone. When you unlock your potential, life gets easier, because you get better. Now, for the first time, James Vincent shares the timeless principles once reserved for Olympic athletes and world-class leaders. These principles are available to anyone who wants to think clearer, feel stronger, and live calmer – not sometimes, but consistently.
Imagine a life where you …
- Control your mind instead of battling it
- Turn self-doubt into unstoppable belief
- Wake up driven – fuelled by purpose, not pressure
- Build the mindset that changes everything: your outcomes, your resilience, your life
- Master the habits and skills that elevate you to world class
- Stay calm, clear and composed when pressure breaks everyone else
When you master the six forces, you discover your edge – and once you do, you’ll never go back. Infinite Edge will Inspire You, Move You and Change You.

There was a time when artists didn’t just create. They sampled, cut and reframed the past into something new.
They built collages. Fragments of funk. Jazz. Rock. Spoken word. News clips.
Not new ingredients. New arrangement.
That’s what Infinite Edge feels like.
You’ll recognise the influences.
Personal development has its heavyweights.
You can hear echoes of discipline. Mindset. Ownership. Long-term thinking.
But this isn’t recycled thinking. It’s structured synthesis.
James Vincent hasn’t written a book of quotes. He’s built a framework.
One that connects ideas you may already know…
…into decisions you can actually make.
That’s the difference.
Most business books give you inspiration. This one pushes you toward application.
Because you don’t need another great line. You need clarity. You need integration. You need to know what changes Monday morning.
Infinite Edge does that.
It doesn’t imitate. It arranges. And the arrangement is where the edge lives.

What's different here is that James treats pressure itself as the subject. Not goal setting, not morning routines. What actually happens to your thinking when the stakes go up, and what you can put in place beforehand so it holds.
The Confidence Loop chapter is the one I'd point people at. Confidence follows evidence, evidence follows action. Sounds obvious written down.. It isn't obvious when you're the one who's been avoiding a decision for a fortnight.
It's also very well put together. Six forces, a chapter each, and each one finishes with something to do rather than a recap of what you've just read. I've been through it twice, the second time with a pen!!!!
If you manage people, or carry any real pressure at work, it's worth your time.
Read it twice, second time with a pen

I’ve listened to this and now ordered the book itself and will be listening again with the book and implementing what the author has so simply explained
If you are stuck or know you have more to give yourself or the world, then this is worth a few hours of your time
Absolute gold

Vincent's point is basically that consistency beats intensity, and that what stops you usually isn't laziness or not knowing what to do. It's that your standards and your actual behaviour have drifted apart, and pressure shows you exactly where the gap is. He splits it into six "forces". The two that landed for me were the Confidence Loop, which treats confidence as something you build out of evidence rather than something you sit around waiting to feel, and Refuse to Lose, which is really about how fast you reset when something goes wrong.
That second one is the whole book for me. I run a small agency. When you lose a pitch there's nobody else to absorb it, and I've had weeks where one bad Thursday wrote off the following fortnight. Vincent actually gives you something repeatable to do about that rather than just telling you to be resilient.
It's short, 192 pages, and I mean that as a compliment. Another author would have stretched the same material to 350 with case studies about Navy SEALs.
The bit I didn't expect was how much of it is about deciding what you're aiming at in the first place. The Inner Flame chapter had me rewriting a couple of things about how I want the business to run, not just how hard I work at it.
I've gone back to my notes on it three times since finishing, which is more than I can say for anything else I've read this year. Five stars.
Finally a book I use in my day to day
