It was supposed to be a simple mission. A suspected Russian spy boat is in trouble in Canadian waters. Investigate and report are the orders.

But when Captain John Banks and his squad arrive, it is to find an empty vessel, and a scene of bloody mayhem.

Soon they are in a fight for their lives, for there are things in the icy seas off Baffin Island, scuttling, hungry things with a taste for human flesh.

They are swarming.

And they are growing.

Just a simple story with a fairly enough plot. Enjoyable for this kind of book. in general you know what is coming - maybe that us what makes it so relaxing. Also, with a hint of humour on the right places. But, the narrator is simply excellent! The best voice tone for listening. Talented different voices with distinct dialects. That was enjoyed most of this book! Brilliant work!

great narrative

when starting a much loved series on audible there is always a touch of wariness going in as you build up a picture of the characters in your minds eye as well as how they sound, Graham Mack does justice to the characters here though getting their accents down and their personalities across with ease,

I look forward to hearing more of the books in the future as this a great addition to a great series

A great intense story with “Pitch Black” vibes. Really well narrated with plenty of action. Hope to hear more from this pairing!
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.
