In this groundbreaking new book, Jon Atack, author of the bestseller Let's Sell These People a Piece of Blue Sky, reveals Scientology's sinister background. If you want to understand the common root of Scientology and Nazism, as well as how the Nazis actually disproved their own Aryan Race Theory, this is a book you won't want to miss!

"Jon Atack's thoroughly researched chapters take us inexorably to the conclusion that the same basic ideas about race, domination, and pursuit of godlike powers came to inform both Hubbard and his bizarre Space Age church, but also the Aryan-obsessed fever dreams of Heinrich Himmler and his boss, Adolf Hitler." —Tony Ortega, former editor of the Village Voice

While several interesting books have been written on the Church of Scientology, Jon Atack - in my view the authority on the subject - provides a comprehensive breakdown of its cultic nature and the manipulative systems devised by L. Ron Hubbard.

The book explores the parallels between Scientology and occult belief, its inherently authoritarian character and the many contradictions between Hubbard’s personal life and his so-called “technology.”

As with the rest of Atack’s work, this is not strictly speaking a whistleblower account of institutional abuse. Instead, it is a methodical and academic critique of Hubbard’s vast body of work, and of how Scientology’s core beliefs and practices would inevitably lead toward a dystopian, quasi-fascist system were they ever to become a dominant force in the world.

Fascinating take on Scientology and Hubbard
