Welcome to the new age…Those left on Earth survived the Rising. They survived the War. Humanity – pushed to the point of extinction – is forced to accept that monsters no longer dwell in the murky shadows of myth and legend. They are frighteningly real.

An uneasy peace has settled across the globe on the cusp of an international Summit intended to gather the surviving Human factions with the new nations of Vampyrii, Werewolf, Troll, Ice Giant, and Fae. Their leaders, their delegates, their decision makers. A conference where the honorable strive to make the world a better place, and where corrupt politicians pursue their own selfish agendas. Alliances are formed…coups are plotted.

In Werewolf-held Canada, a girl is taken. A rescue mission ensues.

In Europe, a grieving hybrid soldier in search of answers returns toLondon to face the ghosts of her past.

In Vampyrii-occupied America, one of their race seeks to restore a small part of the world to its former self.

But trouble is brewing beneath the surface as society teeters on the precipice of calamity.

Mysterious forces work to threaten this new way of life.

Threaten to reveal who are the hunted…and who are the Hunters.

Firstly, the narrator is incredible! A beautiful voice for narrating with a sensitivity and empathy for the authors writing style. This has great potential for the series! The plot is well paced and draws you in, not wanting to take a break. I really enjoyed the genre crossovers that matched the story arcs perfectly! The characters are well described and established and leave great room for growth.

Adam's range of narration is fantastic and I cannot wait to listen to the next book. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Intriguing, Engaging and Absolutely Glorious!

Jon Ford has a lot to answer for. This incredible story with such rich and deep characters reeled me in hook line and sinker.
I’ve read some of the author’s short stories and loved his story telling. This was the first of his novels and I used it to get me in the zone for a charity run.
I couldn’t wait to go running to hear what happened next to the characters whom I had totally bought into and felt like I was part of their lives.
The narrator is so important to me in an audio book, which I listen to a lot of, Adam was incredible, his ability to differentiate between 3 sisters having a conversation with similar accents was amazing, he did a great job and be looking out for more stories he narrates.
This story is perfect for anyone who loves character driven stories with really deep descriptive scenes making the reader/listener feel engrossed in this world. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series
My husband asked what the heck are you listening to you’ve not took ur AirPods out all weekend.—ooops, but it never stopped me listening.
I’ve written this carefully to avoid any spoilers. Get the book, read or listen and enjoy— it’s amazing
