Murder. On the Run. Second Chances.

Luke Michaels' relaxing camping trip ends when he witnesses a woman being thrown from a bridge. He dives into the river to save her, shocked to find her wrapped in chains. As a canine search and rescue volunteer, Luke has assisted many victims, but never a beauty whose defeated gaze ignites his primal urge to protect. When Megan Witherspoon's killers make it clear they won't stop, Luke fights to save her, but can he keep her alive long enough to find out who is after her?

I enjoyed this book, it was quick and intriguing. I loved the story with it's suspense, drama and mild clean romance.
Also the reader was good.

A story that got to the point with out being boring. Not steamy sex scenes but nice all the same.

Good story line

The narrator failed to convey much in the way of emotion or suspense, her delivery chugging along like a train on a hundred miles of straight, level track.

She was able to distinguish the female characters vocally, but not the males so I repeatedly lost track of who was ‘speaking’ when two males were conversing.

The consequence of these negatives is that, having finished it about half an hour ago, I could not tell you the whys and wherefores of the crime which forms the backbone of the story.

I can’t speak to the quality of the story.

Poor narration killed this book

I enjoyed the basic story, but the synopsis didn’t warn me of the more than ‘light’ religious content which sadly spoiled it for me.

Surprised by the religious content

The religious fervour that marred it . The religion didn’t manifest at first but it detracted from a good book

If you are religious, you will probably like it. I am not,
