I feel like even though I didn’t consider myself toxic, I could still get many useful tips to have better coexistence with my loved ones. The author seems to truly understand how to deal with toxicity, and every chapter feels like a masterclass on how to control your own toxic behaviors.

I especially loved the chapter about negative patterns, which is something I often get stuck in, and the section about cognitive distortions really made a strong point. The part about damaged relationships was also great, as it shows how to avoid making that mistake.

I just finished this one and highly recommend it if you’re ready for a serious but compassionate look at your own behavior in relationships. It’s incredibly relatable for anyone who struggles with being reactive, getting defensive, or feeling like they’re unintentionally pushing loved ones away. I really appreciated that it didn't just point out flaws but gave practical, zero-judgment steps for starting to break those negative cycles. The listening experience felt less like a lecture and more like having a supportive conversation about taking accountability for growth. If you feel stuck in a rut, this is a great place to start shifting things.
