Planning a wedding…
Can be murder.
Dog trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, is thrilled that she and Aidan are beginning to plan their wedding, but she never would have guessed that looking at venues and tasting cakes could be so stressful. With less than a year to go, time isn’t on their side, and in the midst of her planning, Eve needs to meet with her landlord to let him know she won’t be renewing her lease.

All is well, until her landlord never shows up to their scheduled meeting, and when Eve learns he has been murdered.

With no time to lose, and a case that hits way to close to home, literally, Eve dives into an investigation for a truth that may change everything.

Can she close the case in time for wedding bells to be ringing on schedule? Find out in this exciting Canine Cozy Mystery!

Eve and Aiden are working on planning their future together. Buying a house is one of the things they want to do, so renting Eve's apartment for one more year will give her some time to put money away for that. Her landlord was stopping by for her to sign the lease, she figured she would just stop by his house only to find him dead in his driver's seat. Now the mystery begins. Was is natural causes? Was it murder? Eve is at it again, working to find the truth and when she does, it's more than surprising. Such a good story, amazing characters and the dogs, can't forget the dogs. Love this series.

Julie McKay brings the ensemble alive with her narration, adding in new characters, and creating that cozy mystery feeling I love. Her ability to keep me guessing on whodunnit just with inflections is what makes her unique. Another amazing performance.

This is the twenty-ninth installment in the Search & Rescue Cozy Mysteries series. I love this series, and it’s another great addition to the series. I love following Eve’s personal and romantic life, along with the intrigue. Julie McKay once again delivers an excellent narration, bringing the characters and the story to life. I’m looking forward to listening to more books in the series.
