Ash Harrington's life is out of control. At 23 years old, he's suddenly the head of a multibillion dollar global corporation he is in no way equipped to run. His father is dying. His mother's run away. He's spent his entire adult life playing fast and loose with his life and his loves, but when he's dragged into a position of responsibility with the fate of the company on his shoulders, he goes spinning into freefall. And Brand Forsythe is the only man to catch him.

Icy, detached, nearly twice Ash's age, the massive monolith of a British valet is impossible to deal with and like no servant Ash has ever met. Domineering and controlling, Brand quickly puts Ash's life in order. And quickly takes Ash in hand.

Even if by day Ash has to project authority, leadership, and calm...by night he's discovering the breathless pleasure of giving up control. The shivering thrill of surrendering to Brand. The sweet taboo of being submissive to the man in even the smallest things. Ash can't quite understand why it feels so good to put himself in Brand Forsythe's capable, commanding hands. He only knows, as he faces the hardest decisions of his life...the only thing that can save him is the love of his cocky valet.

Contains mature themes.

Please forgive my review writing skills! This is my first book from this author. I honestly just picked it because I love Joel Leslie's narration. I am so impressed with the story and writing. Balancing a dynamic of employer/employee, Servant/master, young/old, without it being one-sided must be incredibly difficult to do, but the author nailed it. Also listening to the authors notes at the end gave me a different perspective which I will keep in mind when I listen again.

Not what I expected, in a good way :-)

An addictive audiobook which was superbly narrated. The storyline was somewhat different, and surprising, bit both in a good way. First title by this author, won't be my last. The authors words at the end are funny and sadly unbelievable that fellow authors can be so ridiculously petty. Well done!

Loved the story ☺️

Listen to both afterwords and youll truly appreciate how this book, claimed by the author to be written out of "spite" and to prove a point, is actually a standalone great romance novelette. It just shows to say that talented authors can turn any circumstance and situation into a fabulous story! And ofcourse Joel never disappoints with a beautiful narration

For a rebuttal kind of book it stands on its own

I loved this book. Loved the relationship that built up between them. The character of Brand was fab, but turned into so much more. I loved this book alot more than the Cocky Cellist as I just didn't like Armani in that one.

Fantastic overall
