One day, she thought, one moment, one innocent game. How was it that day, that moment, that game never seemed to end?

Caitlyn Sullivan is just nine years old when a game of hide-and-seek at a family party will change her life forever.

The betrayal she experienced that night will shape Caitlyn's life - and for years she runs and runs, hiding from the aftermath of the trauma. But Caitlyn comes to realise that if she wants to not just survive but thrive, she must return to the family home to face up to her past.

What happened that night may always haunt Caitlyn, but she must decide if it's what you're running from that matters. Or who finds you.

Wonderfully read by January as always, the story started really well but didn’t really go anywhere, I liked the ranch folk but the others were too much 😳 as a brit it does make me cringe when I hear ERBS and LILACK argh goes through me! That said, Nora always writes brilliantly so I tolerated the thespian narcissists.

I loved this story and the characters. Some of the story was predictable but that was alright. Dylan and Kate meet when very young and then again whenever Kate went to the ranch or Dylan came to the family Estate. They live separately for years before admitting how they feel and what they should do.
Kate is an actress, a singer, a voice for audible books, for games, even screaming for an actress who cannot scream properly.
The family 3 generations all do their own thing but always meet up and do family things. The whole family is famous for acting, singing and dancing and charity.
Love the twists and turns but they always have a reason and an answer to a question that you are thinking about as you listen to the story.
More please.!!!!

This is my second Nora Roberts book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. It wasn’t a ‘page turner’ but easy to listen too. The main character was a little bit sugary sweet, and the storyline a bit predictable.

Narration: I know it has annoyed others from reading the reviews before handing over my credit, but it didn’t spoil it for me and I enjoyed the characterisations.

I would recommend this to anyone liking a bit of Hollywood glitz and a good old fashioned love story.

I look forward to listening to some of Norah’s other books.

Enjoyable story
