Jeremy Davis is a happy, rambunctious kid who makes good grades and doesn’t give any trouble to his loving, hardworking mother, Althea. But during her quest to find happiness, Althea inadvertently puts her son in harm’s way. She doesn’t find out until later the effects her decisions have caused her precious son.
Jeremy begins exhibiting changes in his life that Althea refuses to address. Her sister, Yaya advises her to seek counseling for her son, but Althea is sure that she can get her son through his ordeal. Years later, she will come to regret that decision.
A tragedy involving Jeremy causes him to hold a deeper resentment towards his mother. Feeling like she is to blame for everything he is going through, his mom becomes the target of his anger.
