It all ends here. Trapped in self-imposed exile, Will Slater prepares for the fight of his life.

Two months ago, he challenged the Director of the CIA to war, and it’s been radio silence since. Unable to return to the family he loves, he steels himself for the first strike, which D/CIA Jack Raynor delivers in the unlikeliest of forms. Then it’s all-out carnage in dreary Iowa.

But in the heat of battle, whispers make their way to Slater’s ears, rumors of an all-powerful puppet master. He hears a moniker, "The Golden One," the name of a faceless serpent who shapes the country from the shadows. Decades ago, the man found two young prodigies, and with King and Slater none the wiser, he gave their careers the green light. Their storied lives have been his entertainment, and he’s now tired of playing with his toys. He wants it finished.

Slater senses a crossroads, a final enemy to slay, to bring an end to the violence that’s plagued his existence. To have a chance, he must do what he swore he never would: bring Jason King back into the fray. One last time…

A terrific end to a captivating series following the lives of two men and their loved ones as they fight their way through injustice after injustice. This has been one of the best books in the series - a real tour de force. Thank you Matt for bringing these two characters to life and allowing me to follow their exploits. The realism and research that has gone into these books tell their own story of your past and I tip my hat to you.

Hero’s was packed with grit, action and emotion. A gripping story and sad end to a fantastic series. Disappointed that the series appears to have come to an end but a fitting end nonetheless. Well done Matt Rogers. Keep up the great work

Love these stories but Kevin Kennerley still needs to learn how to pronounce some of the words as I’ve been saying since the 1st book- Carbine is pronounced carbine with the bine sounding like mine not bean and shone sounding like gone not shown

Love these stories but …….
