Thousands of years ago, the city of Kuan Hador - a place steeped in evil - was defeated by a vast army of mystic warriors, the enemy banished beyond the gateway between worlds.

Not usually my type of book. Struggled with characters at first, but got to grips with all the strange names by end of chapter one. Glad I stuck with it. I've started of my second Gemmell book now.

The story and narration are both first class. I have had a copy of this book for a long time but this audio version is superb.

A really satisfying conclusion to the Waylander trilogy featuring all the themes Gemmell was best known for, together with shades-of-grey flawed heroes.

What a Great author. This book is brilliant as are all of Gemmell's books. A must listen.

I will not spoil the book. But another great story in this series with a few twists and turns.
I will say I am fast approaching the end of this series. This I do not like. David Gemmell & Sean Barrett have opened my eyes & ears to books I would not normally choose.
I thank them both.
