The most powerful starships ever constructed are taken. Thousands are dead. A fleet is in ruins....

Lieutenant Abigail Cage never expected to find herself in hell. There was a time when she was one of the most respected operatives in the military. Now, she's doing hard labor on the most miserable planet in the universe.

Not for long.

The Republic is looking for the most dangerous individuals it can control. The best of the worst, and Abbey is one of them. Joined by the most ragtag collection of criminals the galaxy has to offer, she sets out to recover the ships and take down the traitors who stole them.

There's only one problem....

A new evil is rising in the galaxy. One with a power unlike anything anyone has ever seen. One that's been waiting for this moment for a very, very long time.

And it wants Abbey too.

If you love Captain Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Star Wars, you’ll love riding along with the Rejects in this fun-filled, action-packed space opera adventure from million-selling author M.R. Forbes.

GOOD STORY WITH PLENTY OF TWISTS AND TURNS,NONE STOP ACTION FROM PAGE ONE TO THE END,WELL DEVELOPED BELIEVABLE CHARACTERS,LOTS MORE EXCITING ACTION TO COME FROM BOOK TWO I HOPE.

NONE STOP ACTION

No hanging about with this book. Action started almost at once and did not let up. Interesting storyline, but how you win a war when you can’t kill your enemy is an interesting concept.

I will certainly get Book 2 to find out more.

Good Start

A superbly written and narrated book. Jeff Hays really brought the story to life, imparting the characters with their own unique voices. Laugh out loud funny and nail-biting action.

Great story and great narration.

Its ok... There’s plenty of action and it has a good storyline but there’s just something I can’t quite put my finger on... it’s just... ok.

One thing that did bother me though, and is the reason I wont be continuing with the rest of the books. The narration. He sounds like he is talking through gritted teeth throughout the whole book and sounds a little like a newsreader. Most of the voices sound the same, although I did like the effects put on the voices. I think if it had a more involved narration I would have continued the story. I expected so much after reading the other reviews, I just feel a bit let down by it. There was nothing about it that made me want more or think WOW.

Meh...
