While the combat can get a bit awkward in audiobook format what with the stat blocks, this book shines in world growth and character moments, I'm pleased as punch to have the whole crew together and bouncing off each other again, issues important to the characters being broached and the future of the series being painted, another wonderful entry, this is easily my favourite series rn

Slower than the others but then it is book 8 after all and the stories action pace fits where the story is at, if that makes any sense.
Still an excellent book and superbly narrated by Heath Miller as usual.
Looking forward to book 9.

It’s all about the sandwiches! Each book is just as good as the last and leaves you perched ready to the next one.

World absorbing books are kinda his thing!

I hate getting to the end of each book because it means I’ve got to wait for the next one. Travis Deverell is a genius with his writing and Heath Miller is fantastic at his narration duties. I can’t recommend this series enough, I just wish Jason was British, real and voted in to 10 Downing Street.

As each book unfolds the universe it is set in gets all the more clearer, showing the thought that must have been put into creating it.
I find the story riveting and have to force myself to turn it off and stop procrastinating regarding what I really should be doing.
The way the characters deal with everyday issues, I think, is what illicits a gamut of emotions - or maybe that's just me...
Heath Miller does an excellent job of bringing things stories to life.
As for Travis Deverell, I'm sure he had some herbal assistance stimulating his imagination - which makes the stories all the more better! 🤭
