I’ve enjoyed all the Grimm series and the first book in this series but sadly this story was just a bit ridiculous and stupid I’m sorry to say I didn’t enjoy it
Also the narrators voice is quite irritating

Hmmmm not my favourite

A brilliant twisted plot delivered in David Gatward's no nonsense style once again. This second book in the Gordy Haigh series is a superb listen, with all the characters we are coming to know the book is edge of the seat listening and I am already looking forward to the nest episode. I particularly like the descriptions of the locations, never been to Somerset but Dave's descriptions make it as if you are there. My only criticism more noticeable in this book than the first, and I don't know if it's a Somerset thing is that almost every other sentence ends with a question. I found it Very irritating. Ruth Urquhart's narration was superb and added to the drama of the story. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.

I always enjoy David's stories. The Grim series was great. This series should be a great spin-off but the narrator's voice make it almost
painful. Her Scots accent is like nails on a blackboard and it's an endurance test to listen until the end. Such a shame.

Great story but grating narration.

I love the Harry Grimm stories; they are well written and excellently narrated. A joy to listen to. On the other hand, the DI Haig stories aren't as good, the characters aren't as believable, and the narration is awful. It gets to the point where it is difficult to tell which of the female characters are talking as the accents seem to womble all over the place. As a die hard David Gatward Harry Grimm fan, I’ll listen to the DI Haig stories in the hope they will get better, however, please, find a different narrator.

Story was okay, narrator was dreadful
