Amy was never very keen on New Year's Eve - and that was before the time-travel accident that sent her spiraling back into the past.

Now she's living every New Year of her life over again in reverse. As soon as each is over she is thrown back a year in time to the previous one.

Starting at 39 years old, she grows progressively younger, revisiting snapshots of her life along the way. From dealing with an unfaithful boyfriend to trying to help her alcoholic mother, she attempts to make the most of her second chances, with varying degrees of success.

As Amy grows ever more youthful, the reality of her impending mortality looms ever larger. Her only hope is to track down the mysterious stranger who sent her back through time, but he is nowhere to be found.

Happy New Year is the fourth in a loosely connected series of time-travel novels. It features characters and situations from the accompanying Time Bubble series and can be heard stand-alone or alongside those stories.

Though similar to one or two of the other stories in the series this book again captivated me. I did feel the initial scene setting was a bit slow but overall the pace was excellent

The reading was good and the narrator just right.

Looking forward to the next one.

Another Excellent Time Travel Story

As much as I enjoyed the story there is a banging in the background of the performance that is really irritating. I'm not sure what it is but it sounds like either the microphone stand is constantly being hit or there is a kid outside banging a ball against a wall. Just be aware of this before buying.

Annoying banging sound

Well crafted and read. Wasn’t sure how it would end but it was a good one. Thought provoking on life in general as well. Loved it.

Great addition to the series

Another great installment in the second chance series. Sadly another narration that did benefit from 1.1x speed and I almost gave up when some of the dodgy accents started - fortunately the lead character's was ok and the story great enough to get over that.

Another Great Story

Oh what we would all do if we could step back in time and put right different things that had happened and even save the lives of lived ones. This story has it all and is well read. Definitely worth a listen and great addition to the series.

Great listen well read and fantastic story!
