Werewolf Braxton Devereaux would do anything to protect his mother from his abusive father, even commit murder. Or so everyone assumes. Pack Law justice is swift and unforgiving when it comes to murder, and soon werewolf assassins are out to balance the scales - Braxton's life for his father's. On the run, Braxton flees to the anti-extradition state of Missouri on his Harley, but before he crosses the border, he is felled by an assassin's bullet - and an unsuspecting blonde.

Kate Wolph is in a legal battle to avoid losing her bed and breakfast to foreclosure. The last thing she needs is an injured wolf to care for, let alone a gorgeous man with blank eyes and a deadly smile. But the supernatural world of danger that surrounds him threatens to swallow more than just her life.

Can Braxton track down the real killer before the assassins find him, or will Pack Justice cost him not only his life, but the life of the only woman he's ever loved?

This was a really fun read with lots of laugh out loud moments. The ladies' writing group constantly behaved inappropriately around the men and I found it hilarious. I couldn't help laughing at the men's reactions. There was plenty of action, suspense and sweet romance. Characters from the first book helped Braxton with his problem with the assassins and they made the story that bit more enjoyable. The narration was excellent.

I voluntarily reviewed an audio review copy.

Loved it! It has shifters, bikers, mystery, danger and romance.

Braxton is blamed for the murder for his abusive father though he isn't guilty. Innocent until proven guilty is not the shifter way. Shifter justice is meted out without really questioning the suspect. Kate owns a bed and breakfast that she is about to loose. On top of that she finds and saves an injured wolf. Then the wolf turns into a man. The plot thickens and twists as Brandon and Kate save each other and discover their life mate in the process.

I enjoyed this audiobook and fully intend to listen to the other books in the series.
