In this propulsive, “nonstop read” (USA TODAY) from the New York Times bestselling author of The Shape of Night, a NASA doctor is in a deadly race against time to destroy a lethal microbe as it multiplies in the International Space Station.

Dr. Emma Watson’s lifelong dream of working and studying aboard the International Space Station has finally come true. But it quickly becomes a nightmare when a culture of single-celled organisms begins to regenerate out of control—and infects the crew.

Emma must contain the outbreak and prevent as many deaths as possible while, back on Earth, her estranged husband is frantically working with NASA to bring her home. But with a contagion threatening all of humanity, there will be no rescue.

“Thrilling…fast-paced, scary, and loaded with insider information” (The Plain Dealer, Cleveland), Gravity is an unputdownable thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page. Brilliantly written, just let down by the narrator, who does bad female voices and worse English accents

Gripping story

If you could sum up Gravity in three words, what would they be?

Gripping intelligent detailed

What other book might you compare Gravity to, and why?

I'm not sure if Alien is a book or not, but would compare it to that story. However, the detail, thought study and absolute hard work that must have been taken to create this is much more than impressive.

Which character – as performed by William Dufris – was your favourite?

Far too many to choose from. The Narrator had an easy voice to listen too and the different voices he flows to and from so effortlessly sets him far above other Narrators.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Emma Sent Lucus home and the dreadful turn of events there...don't want to spoil the book!

Any additional comments?

For the past year I have switched from reading to listening. I find audio books however to be difficult to find a good one. I go through a lot and the Narrator has the important role to either make or break a novel. This Narrator was EXCELLENT! The book came alive from the very beginning and it was an excellent performance. I honestly didn't think this kind of book was my thing but I loved it and had it playing all through the day, even cleaning my kitchen! I really never give reviews but I think this one definitely needs 5 stars and a big thumbs up!! Book lovers...you really need to delve it on this treasure of a novel!

Excellent Story!! Couldn't put it down all day!!!

I've read/listened to a lot of Tess Gerritsen books and I do really like her writing. This was the first one however read by a man. At first I wasn't sure but when I got used to his voice, I began to really enjoy listening. The story itself was very different from Gerritsen's usual work, but I found her description of life on the International Space Station fascinating. The whole space theme was brilliant and brought a claustrophobic intensity to the plot. Well written and well read; I can thoroughly recommend this book.

A different kind of Gerritsen
