Carter W. Lewis
A quartet of aging retirees tee up for a witty and incisive reflection on love, faith, time, and (of course) golf. Over 18 holes, the four men face truths ranging from the quotidian to the cosmic as they bicker and bond on the putting green.
An L.A. Theatre Works full-cast performance featuring John Astin, Charles Durning, Richard Hoyt Miller, John Randolph and William Schallert. Directed by Robert Robinson. Recorded before a live audience in Santa Monica, CA in December, 1992.

American playwright Carter W. Lewis’ Golf with Alan Shepard is a witty diversion. On a warm day, four retired men meet on a golf course to play a round and talk about everything under the sun. As their game progresses, their reflections on golf, love, faith, life, and death become increasingly more profound. Actors John Astin, Charles Durning, Richard Hoyt Miller, John Randolph, and William Schallert give funny, energetic performances. This audiobook is a live recording of a theater production.
