You are not welcome here, godkiller

Kissen’s family were killed by zealots of a fire god. Now, she makes a living killing gods, and enjoys it. That is until she finds a god she cannot kill: Skedi, a god of white lies, has somehow bound himself to a young noble, and they are both on the run from unknown assassins.

Joined by a disillusioned knight on a secret quest, they must travel to the ruined city of Blenraden, where the last of the wild gods reside, to each beg a favour.

Pursued by demons, and in the midst of burgeoning civil war, they will all face a reckoning – something is rotting at the heart of their world, and only they can be the ones to stop it.

Some good world building concepts, not fleshed out enough to make the most of them. Enjoyable enough, but unremarkable.

Strong Concept - Average execution

🦌🗡️ BOOK TOUR REVIEW 🗡️🦌

🦌 Godkiller by Hannah Kaner 🗡️

Huge thank you to @bookswithvic at @instabooktours for having me on the tour and to @harperfictionpr & @harpervoyager_uk for my #gifted copy and of course to @hanfrankan for such a fantastic read!

The fact this is only the beginning of a trilogy is MIND BLOWING!! What a first instalment!! I cannot wait to see what comes on books 2 & 3!

The lead characters of Kissen, Inara & Elo are so perfectly wound together throughout this story that the pages turned themselves!

I LOVE the representation within this book also. With an amputee as a lead character showing that they can do anything as well if not better than any other, to sign language being a coveted language used throughout the book. (Most people know I love any deaf/signing representation) This made me love this book just that little bit more 🥰 Add to that the LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 rep aswell 😘🤌🏽

This book is so well thought out and no character goes to waste within it! This is perfect for Fantasy fans but I think anyone will love this book. Bring on the next 2 books 😍

Very enjoyable, a good start to the series, absolutely no fluff at all. I think maybe there could have actually been a little
More fluff/filler. All journeys seem very short. Other than that no complaints re the story.

Narrator has a strange style which I found a little grating at times but nothing to the detriment of the book.

A great story

Just what I was after, good characters, interesting world building, steady plot. None of the vapid romantasy rubbish that’s become a plague on this genre. There is light romance in parts but overall the characters have far more important and interesting things to be thinking about, much to my relief. So glad books that focus on plot and character are still being published.

Perfect
