Opening the X-Files...

Meet Mulder and Scully, FBI - the agency maverick and the female agent assigned to keep him in line.

Their job is to investigate the eeriest unsolved mysteries in modern America, from pyro-psychics to death row demonics, from rampaging Sasquatches to alien invasions. These are the cases the Bureau wants handled quietly but quickly, before the public finds out what's really out there...and panics - the cases filed under "X".

The story was great, much like the X-Files we know and love but I thought the portrayal of Moulder and Scully were a but out of character in some parts.

Thought the characters were a little inconsistent.

it was an great story to listen to remind me when I was in my mid 20s.

Very gripping

Sadly this does not live up to the series. Mulder and Scully are not the characters they should be. They are paired with a couple of other agents to introduce an element of drama which falls completely flat. I felt the story idea had merit but the execution was poor.
The narration was OK but lacked nuance and was a bit reading by numbers.

Disappointing.

Attention to detail and the conspiracy theories that moulder had in his chain of command

Attention to detailed to information about the characters in the story

The performance and characters are great but the plot struggles to fill the book and feels dragged out.

Good but drawn out
