This is the seventh book in the best-selling Sandy Bay Cozy Mystery series.

Business is good, but the stress of fulfilling a new corporate order is almost driving Meghan Truman insane. She is, therefore, excited when handsome detective Jack Irvin proposes to take her to the movies. She never expected that a fun, carefree night at the Sandy Bay cinema would end with the tragic death of the movie theater manager.

Who would stand to gain from his demise?

As Meghan delves deeper into this murder investigation, she discovers that stress has a way of bringing out the worst in people. With the clock ticking to find the murderer, will she be prepared when a serendipitous act of kindness puts her squarely in the path of a killer on the loose?

If you want to enjoy a quick, lighthearted listen with an amateur female sleuth, mouth-watering culinary desserts, a gripping murder mystery, and a touch of romance, then you'll love Meghan Truman and all the quirky characters in Sandy Bay. No cliff-hanger, swearing, or graphic scenes!

Buy Gingerbread and Scary Endings to discover how events unfold in this cozy murder mystery.

I absolutely love these books by Amber! To be able to listen to one on audible is even betterer!! Fabulously done and the Gingerbread (evil stuff right?) story is a fun one to listen to!

I never see pensioners acting as nutty as they do in cosy mysteries. I've no idea where this originated from but it's very strange and gives them a bad reputation. This makes me so thankful that I've been blessed to be around pensioners who are very level-headed unless they are stricken with dementia. Aside from crazy old ladies, this story is mostly somber. The storyline is well written and thought out. The mystery is intriguing and keeps the reader fully engaged in trying to solve it. The narrator also keeps the story flowing smoothly. I really enjoyed it!

Some superstitions are downright ridiculous!
