An emotional rollercoaster

What I've enjoyed so far about this series is how it's a metaphor about real, emotional issues

I enjoyed the last few chapters and the first few ones but the rest of it was so slow and painful to get through. The only thing keeping me going was the amazing narrator. Hopefully the next book will be better.

I have read all of the Plated Prisioner books on my kindle but wanted to listen to the story in the car etc. I love the Story and the characters, however the voice used for Auren is like a whiney teenager and not a 25 year old woman. I fear listening to the rest of the books of the series because it was a struggle to get through this one.

I’ve heard such amazing things about this series and I was excited to start it but the narrator nearly made me give up loads of times. The voice she puts on for Auren is so child like and it’s so off putting because of the sexual nature of the book. She makes it so hard not to imagine young girl not the woman Auren is supposed to be. Think I’ll have to abandon the audiobooks as she is the main narrator for the series.

I feel like we’re just warming up with this book and there’s potential for a great story. Narration was pretty good but at points I felt the narrator could do with blowing her nose.

I wasn’t sure going into this book from the reviews plus the start of the book is ‘different’ haha but as the story developed it just left me wanting to know more… it’s quite brutal in parts & the men are mostly disgusting so hoping for some redeeming male characters in the next book & obviously left intrigued by commander rip!

I really liked it … left me intrigued & wanting more
