A Native American working on his PhD. A cop blinded in the line of duty. A chic resort's only hope to stop a killer cold in his tracks.

Once a land of Pueblo dwellers, the town of San Geronimo Peak, New Mexico, is prime ski country. PI Howard Moon Deer and ex-cop Jack Wilder are headed there to meet their first client - a former US senator and the ski slope's owner. Instead, they find his body - and a murder case to solve.

Overrun with pleasure-seekers, plunderers, and fanatics, San Geronimo has no shortage of suspects. But investigating the senator's two very different daughters, his political enemies, and his complex business dealings leads only to false clues.

Then the senator's granddaughter is kidnapped - and the new detectives are plunged into a dangerous race for a little girl's life...and for their own.

An undemanding but likeable mystery set in an interesting part of America, featuring equally interesting characters. Has a curious mix of quite conservative viewpoints and explicit sexual scenes, so be warned if you’re expecting a traditional ‘cosy’.

Sometimes picking out of The Plus Catalogue is disappointing with dreary and easily guessable plots. Ghost Dancer has some good twists and turns and kept me reading. More like this please Amazon, don’t be just about profiteering from Audible with customer’s having to use credits to get decent listening. Ghost Dancer is a bit American with some references that are not clear to International audiences and definitely some misogynistic references but if you can get past/ ignore these the plot is good, twists and turns and an easy listen.

Surprisingly good

I enjoyed this so much. Somehow makes it have a simplicity that belies how brilliant the writ8ng is and grea5 twists. V engaging. Loved the characters the setting and story. Narrator was so perfect. Really hope same narrator for next one. Delighted its a series so can carry on!

Brilliant just brilliant

The storyline wasn’t bad which is why I kept listening to the end. Sadly the narration was one of the most irritating I’ve listened to in a while! I even speeded it up to see if it made a difference. Conversations were ok but the general narrative was over dramatic Shame as it had potential to be a good book

Awful narration!
