Two hundred years after the Forbidding was broken, Santhenar is locked in war with the lyrinx ‒ intelligent, winged predators from the void who will do anything to gain their own world. Despite the development of battle clankers and mastery of the crystals that power them, humanity is losing. The enemy is destroying their nodes of power, one by one. Tiaan, a lonely crystal worker, is experimenting with a new type of crystal when she begins to have extraordinary visions. The crystal has woken her talent for geomancy, the most powerful of the Secret Arts, and the most perilous. Geomancy is a magic that humanity's allies and enemies alike are desperate to control, but it is deadly to the user. Falsely accused of sabotage by her rival, Irisis, Tiaan flees for her life. She is hunted by the alien lyrinx, Ryll, who plans to use her in his dreadful flesh-forming experiments. Only geomancy can save her. Struggling to control her talent, Tiaan follows her visions all the way to Tirthrax, greatest peak in the Three Worlds, where a nightmare awaits her...©2001 Ian Irvine (P)2013 Bolinda Publishing Classics Destansı Fantastik Epic Fantasy Kurgu

I read the book years ago in hard copy. This audiobook version has brought the story back to memory, just as gripping as I remember. I look forward to completing the others!

Just as I remember

Having just finished The Mirror Quartet and thoroughly enjoyed the 4 books I decided to continue. I am loving this story and the narrator is wonderful. I have learnt that it doesnt matter how good a story is if you have a bad narrator it just ruins it. I am downloading the next book and I am loving the storyline and the caractets. Go for it!

loved it

Would you ever listen to anything by Ian Irvine again?

no, it's the second book of his that has dissappointed me.

What three words best describe Grant Cartwright’s voice?

mediocre

Was Geomancer: Well of Echoes, Book 1 worth the listening time?

not really

Any additional comments?

"too much teenage angst" said another reviewer. I just found the characters behaving in unconvincing ways.

disappointing

Author has clearly never met a woman or knows anything about human behaviour. Total garbage

Absolutely aweful
