Two powerful families. A deadly feud. And one man caught in the middle.
Travis Somerland arrives at Montechino, the extraordinary private estate of billionaire Felix Clapton, expecting a new job and a fresh start. His instructions are simple: be punctual, be discreet and don't ask questions.
Instead, he finds himself drawn into a world of ruthless ambition and dangerous secrets - and caught in the middle of a bitter feud between two of Australia's most powerful dynasties.
The Claptons and the Murtries have money, influence and decades of history between them. Now, their rivalry is escalating - and someone is prepared to kill to come out on top.
Travis is a man accustomed to danger, but as he is drawn deeper into their deadly struggle, doing the right thing could put his life in the crosshairs.
Both families will do anything to win. Travis will risk everything to stop them.

Eleştirmen yorumları
(Spoiler alert)
There is a whole section dedicated to the story of Judy making her way back to her hometown and “discovering” her birth mother etc. Was that just a very long winded lie she is meant to be telling Travis? If yes, I am very disappointed in the style and imbalance of the narrative. it’s a significant section of the book dedicated to a false story told in great detail and given much emotional significance, only to be carelessly dismissed later, when Judy callously tells Travis that she grew up knowing her true identity all along. It was very confusing for me when I came to that part and I kept waiting for a deeper explanation. But it never came. Like it was papered over. That’s the only let down but for me, a big one.
Otherwise great story if a little far fetched.
