Anyone can write a bestseller. Here's how.

GO GAY

It's been seven years since Mallory shot to fame as a literary sensation. But after years of struggling with writer's block, she's desperate to resurrect her career before it spirals into obscurity. She needs inspiration to strike – and fast.

GO SAD

Enter Leo – a young struggling addict sleeping under bridges and trading sex for survival. He's vulnerable. He's enigmatic. He's exactly what Mallory has been looking for.

GO DARK

Mallory needs Leo if she wants another bestseller. Authenticity sells, and there's nothing more authentic than real life. She's the perfect person to tell Leo's story. Gay, sad, dark – just what the world needs right now. But as secrets threaten to unravel more than just her career, Mallory must decide: just how far will she go to pen the perfect story?

Eleştirmen yorumları

'Savage and darkly hilarious. A pointed satire of publishing with flawed, fascinating characters.' (Juno Dawson, author of Wonderland)
'Absolutely unforgettable. A raw, visceral triumph that echoes modern classics like Trainspotting, Young Mungo and A Little Life, yet stands entirely on its own.' (John Marrs, bestselling author of The Good Samaritan)

It just meanders on the same level... I gave it 5 stars only because audible pushes bad reviews to the bottom.

Oh well...

I enjoyed the first half of this book - but as the story reaches it's climax, I found the motivations of Liam in particular to be quite far-fetched. Some very interesting and quite 'meta' ideas though. The narration was very good.

Lost its way in the middle parts

I have lost interest in so many audio books due to a subpar performance, but this one… so engaging, innovative and unbelievably entertaining, possibly the best audio book performance I’ve ever heard.

And the story was a corker to boot.

Don’t waver - buy this audio book - you will thank yourself!

What an engaging story and performance!

I enjoyed the book, the character are unrelatable at times, annoying sometimes, but super real. I didn’t think it got slow as some reviewers said, and each of the sections has things happening so I found myself intrigued all time. Recommend!

Like it a lot, not perfect

It was ok. Not really fleshed out plot. I liked Mallory's story a lot more than Leo's. It was fine.
