Jim Bean comes face to face with his greatest adversary so far—a con woman who is as clever as she is dangerous.

Stella DeSoto has had it with Vegas and her life. She's experienced the worst of people, and now a sailboat in the Florida Keys is calling Stella's name. All she needs is the cash to buy it. And she's got an idea. It's reckless, risky, and downright illegal. But big risks can mean big rewards...if you don't get caught.

Then Stella's mother recognizes her on the news, disguised and on a crime spree. Worried sick, she hires Private Investigator Jim Bean to track her daughter down. Only after he agrees to help does Jim realize just how cunning Stella is—and how desperate. And a seasoned PI like Jim has enough experience to know that's a very dangerous combination. As Stella manages to stay one step ahead of him at every turn, Jim wonders if he'll ever be able to track her down - and how many more people will get hurt if he can't.

J.D. Allen's Flat Black Ford is a fast-paced story of anger, escape, and revenge that will leave you questioning the meaning of right and wrong, and the gray area in between.

Fab narration (by A T Chandler AKA Aiden Snow, Caleb Dickinson) of a very good quirky tale with dark outcomes for some, in a very good series. Well written, utilizing many of the previous cast (thankfully not the tiresome ex-wife) in a sea of action with dark humoured clever plot. Good drama and such good non cookie-cutter MCs. REALLY ENJOYABLE, RECOMMEND THIS SERIES

PS Hope Audible do Bricks and Bones, the next book in the series.

Nothing flat here

l enjoyed the narration which made the story relatable. This book is another great Sin City read with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Emotional story. Great finish

Flat Black Ford marks a slight change in pace from the first three books in the series.
We shift away from the heaving hitting body trade (in all its various forms…) and vast networks of organised crime, to the one woman whirlwind that is Stella. This books questions the difference between legal justice and moral, and makes you really question what is right and wrong.
We see appearances from all our favourite “supporting cast” too.
A really great book beautiful narrated.
An excellent series.
Can’t wait for the next one!

I have listened to all of the sin city set so far and this is the best. I felt involved from start to finish and nothing disappointed. Thank you.

Fighting for justice

Narration was top class. The writing was smooth, characters well developed. I didn’t like that the MC featured less than the person he was hunting. In a few places the hunters made great leaps in progress that weren’t justified. When it ended I couldn’t believe that was it. Very flat ending.

Good writing just a flat story
