After four years as a cop, Mac crosses the crime scene tape for the first time as a homicide detective. The back alley murder of a young trial lawyer from a high profile law firm doesn't add up. Very disappointed after reading reviews and being recommended to read this short book first. I struggled to get into it, couldn't follow any story and in honesty can't understand why it got good reviews. Didn't get any sense of the main character and still not sure what the plot actually was. Certainly didn't grip me like a good book should. Reluctant to purchase his full books in this series now.
