The first in a high-adrenaline psychological crime series from bestselling author Diane Saxon, introducing Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan.

Responding to reports of deadly screams in the Ironbridge Gorge, Detective Sergeant Jenna Morgan is first on the scene to investigate.

As the search intensifies, Jenna is horrified to discover her sister Fliss's severely injured Dalmatian, Domino and the naked, tortured body of an unknown woman.

Where is Fliss? Is she alive? And can Jenna find her before it's too late?

A gripping start to a crime thriller series that's perfect for fans of Cara Hunter.

Not a bad start to the series although plot somewhat simplistic and characters a bit perfect for my taste.

It took a while to get going and the narrators voice was a little robotic at times. I'm glad I stuck with it though, as the storyline was good and the tension certainly gathered pace.

A slow start, but glad I stuck it out

Thought this was a pretty good read. Story kept me hooked despite being predictable. Narrator was good apart from ending the word of each sentence in a singsong tone which was quite distracting. overall would recommend.
