What would you do to save the woman you love?
Eve and Lainey Sumptor have faced many trials in their journey to one another. Now, after a long, hard road they are both in a place where they can relax and enjoy themselves. They’re together, they’re deliriously happy, their kids are thriving, and the demons from the past are dead and buried. It’s time to embrace their life, ripe with domestic bliss, as it unfolds before them at last. Neither woman ever dreamt they could be so fulfilled.
But the problem with demons is they are tricky things that don’t always stay gone…
When Eve is accused of murder, she and Lainey must fight harder than ever before. Eve’s freedom and the life they worked so hard for is in jeopardy. How far will Lainey go to prove that Eve is innocent? She’s not sure there are limits, not when it comes to the woman she loves.
The conclusion of the Eve Sumptor saga leads Lainey on a heart-pounding chase to clear Eve’s name. Suspenseful, sexy, and heartwarming, this series will have you scrambling to see what happens next.
©2022 Jourdyn Kelly (P)2023 Jourdyn KellyThe story is a good one and the closeness of the 'friends' is empowering and feel good !
The narrator however is another story , some voices work but some are just plain awful. Blaise for example is painful and i don't see how the author and audible has let her get away with it ?
I doubt reviews make the author, narrator or audible take a look at themselves . I wish more quality control were exercised in this genre.

at first I thought this slow burn compared with previous books, but it's that false sense of security that hits you with a knock on the door.
I cried at the court with a ring returned.
Bella made me laugh and broke my heart, 3 daughters and 6.5 granddaughters I love that preschool age.
I guessed the villain, but thought thier dupe got off too easily, but it does leave the door open for another book?
tessa stavers narration is flawless and oh so sensual, but the writing is superb, every human emotion vice and evil is tempered by true love.
absolutely brilliant.
