Christian Kent has many labels - warrior, protector, friend, lover - but the one label he never wanted was mate. In his lifetime, the only girl he has ever loved was the one he couldn't have. He left her to protect her heart, but his own will always belong to her.

As a girl, the one person she believed would never hurt her broke her heart. Now a warrior, she's loving life and living for the next adventure. She's put the past behind her, including the man who walked out of her life.

Fate brought them together once, and it's not done with them yet. When they are suddenly thrown together to battle a lethal new foe, sparks fly, and old feelings resurface. Chris will have to work hard to heal the rift between them. But will she be able to let go of the old heartbreak and open her heart to him again? Can they come together before the threat they are facing tears them apart forever?

This book is considered upper YA due to some mature content.

I really loved this instalment, especially being dual narrated and told from both Beth and Chris’ side. The. Story line Kept me entertained with action, drama and of course love. I am looking forward to reading the last instalment in the series. The Additional bonus scene at the end was amazing and I’m glad we seen into Sarah/Nikolas’ future too.

Excellent

The series finally starts to wear me out. In this one, the plot was very predictable, and the romance part was mostly based on the miscommunication trope. Also, Chris and Beth are just NOT lead characters. They just don't have this type of presence to them.
Chris was such a fun character during Relentless trilogy, and I expected some sparkly retorts during his mating. Not this sad guilt trip and unhappiness.
Writing was as always capturing and enjoyable. The general concept not so much.

Is it finally enough?

Another great book in ther series, lots of adventure. Not sure if all the accents Zachary Webber was putting in was consistent, but fun trying to work out if they are ment to be Irish, Welsh or something else.
