Brent Spiner's explosive and hilarious novel is a personal look at the slightly askew relationship between a celebrity and his fans. If the Coen Brothers were to make a Star Trek movie, involving the complexity of fan obsession and sci-fi, this noir comedy might just be the one.
Set in 1991, just as Star Trek: The Next Generation has rocketed the cast to global fame, the young and impressionable actor Brent Spiner receives a mysterious package and a series of disturbing letters, that take him on a terrifying and bizarre journey that enlists Paramount Security, the LAPD, and even the FBI in putting a stop to the danger that has his life and career hanging in the balance.
Featuring a cast of characters from Patrick Stewart to Levar Burton to Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, to some completely imagined, this is the fictional autobiography that takes readers into the life of Brent Spiner, and tells an amazing tale about the trappings of celebrity and the fear he has carried with him his entire life.©2021 Brent Spiner (P)2021 Macmillan Audio Crime Thrillers Humorous Literature & Fiction Science Fiction Thriller & Suspense Komik Esprili Heyecan verici İyi Hissettiren

I came across this book purely by accident. I was looking for anything Star Trek related and came across this little gym.

I personally think that it's the best Star Trek related story since the TNG days. To have all the cast play themselves was a lovely surprise and the storyline had me gripped. I've listened to this book twice in a row now in two sittings.

Brent Spiners' excellent narration along with a 'who done it' tape storyline made for the best listen in a long time.

if you like good narration, Star Trek stories, mystery stories, excellent acting and very well done background sounds, then this is definitely the one for you.

Happy listening and live long and prosper.

This was weird, I can’t put my finger on it. Enjoyed it, but didn’t love it. I would go as far to say a bit silly and far fetched to be enjoyed fully. As a Star Trek fan I felt I needed to listen.

Whatever I thought this was, it wasn’t.

As a Trekkie specifically a TNG Trekkie I was eager to listen to this knowing the rest of the cast was involved. If you have ever met/seen/heard the entire crew in real life you know they are all a little offbeat with their humour. Knowing Brent's webisodes you know his humour is a little dark and a little juvenile. I personally found it hilarious and then the little stories he added which appear from his youth or real life were funny or serious but a nice way to add to the story. Yes it is called fan fiction but it's fictional about a fan rather than traditional fanfic. if you aren't a Trekkie then you probably won't like it. if you have never seen any of Brent's stuff again you may not like it but for a few hours of crazy listening some of my favourite people to listen to it was worth it.

hilarious tale of mostly fiction
