This was my first Layla Hagen book and I went and purchased the other Whitley brothers books as soon as I could. Why had it taken me so long to find her books??

Sebyo & Queen Maxine's narration was just perfect and the story was so good. I enjoyed the humour and the banter between the characters. I went back and started the series from book 1 and when I came back to book 3, it was even better with the second listen.

Highly recommended.

An enjoyable listening experience with a grandma who is determined to make herself a great grandma. Spencer and Penny romance was good fun to listen to . Maxine Mitchell and Sebastian York are two of my favourite narrators who bring their characters to life.

Loved the dual narration of Sebastian York and Maxine Mitchell, just perfect for this great book. Both bring out the brilliant characters and humour.

Spencer discovers that he has a son with an ex who does not want to raise the baby. Spencer is determination to be the best father to his son Ben, he buys a house .
Penny is house sitting at her best friend’s house and pets while her friend is away for work, she meets Jeannie, who is Spencer’s grandmother while walking the dog. Spencer’s grandmother meets Penny and immediately has visions of them together.
Penny is coming out of a bad marriage and has sworn off men. That is until she bumps into Spencer at the supermarket. The chemistry is instant, but they fight their connection and agree to be “friends”. That is until they get stuck in an lift
We have a meddling grandmother and a baby that easily wins my heart. With humour, heat and angst. Brilliant.

Maxine Mitchell is the best but Sebastian York not my favourite in this book. I do love the HEA in all the stories though and I coped with it all ok. Life is so shit at times it is just so nice to get lost in just easygoing harmless stories. Just lovely - thanks for bringing these books to us.

I couldn’t put it down even when I was at work. I started with this book from Whitley brothers collection but I don’t regret it at all. I love this story and the narrators were absolutely brilliant. The progression of the story, the spark between them , the banter and the support from their families, was soo refreshing. I laughed so much from this book. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of them. Well done Layla Hagen.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
