Fake dating your worst enemy—what could possibly go wrong? An enemies-to-lovers, paranormal lesbian romance that proves love can outfox anyone.

Ever since shape-shifters revealed their existence to the world, tensions between humans and Wrasa have been dangerously high. To improve their public image, the Wrasa council comes up with a bold plan: a fake relationship between one of their own and Faith MacAllister, the human daughter of their most vocal enemy.

Tala Peterson, an aloof fox-shifter with the attitude of an alpha wolf, is anything but thrilled to pose as Faith's mate. She doesn't trust her one bit—and rightfully so, as Faith has her own agenda. Their flirty banter is strictly for show, and if Tala finds Faith's scent annoyingly irresistible, it's only because of the mate scent their scientists concocted.

But when the wolf pack that raised Tala insists she bring her new mate home for a visit, the fake lovers are forced to not only share a bed but also to confront old prejudices. Soon, Faith faces a difficult choice: Should she keep spying on the Wrasa for her father, or can she trust Tala and her kind?

Contains mature themes.

Different from the other 'Shape-Shifter' Audiobooks, this is a two parter. Audiobook 8 is available in March so that's good news, There is no sex either which is another 'shift' from this series. I think if you have listened to others in this series you will enjoy 'Enemies By Nature', Book 1 is quite strong so that's a better place to start if not.

After a long wait I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. This is a good take on the ‘fake dating’ story line - this time it’s for the good of the species. Well written and narrated, now I just have to wait until the end of March for the next instalment.

Great next instalment

Jae continues her Shapeshifter series with a masterfully crafted tale. This grabbed my attention from the first word and now I’m awaiting the second part of this enemies to lovers story. An excellent addition to the series.

I absolutely adore this series, and this installment did not disappoint. Was curious to find out more about Tala ever since we first met her, she's such an intriguing character. Looking forward to seeing her relationship with Faith develop in the next book, and for Tala's and Chloe's first interaction, of course.
Abby Craden's narration was nothing short of divine, as always!

a great story line, that can be likened to international relationships, and people's misunderstanding.
