Emily Byrd Starr is destined to become a great writer. With high school behind her and her girlhood chums pursuing their ambitions far from home, Emily faces the future alone at dear old New Moon Farm, with only her maiden aunts and Uncle Jimmy as companions. But when a tragic accident threatens her life, she casts aside old dreams in favor of a new and surprising romance.

With her deep emotions, ethereal beauty, and stubborn pride, Emily bravely faces the twists and turns of young adulthood. Against the stunning backdrop of Prince Edward Island and with a cast of unforgettable characters, Emily's own story unfolds. Will her dreams of becoming a novelist ever come to pass? Will her uncanny visions bring back the love of her childhood? Can she and her old friends ever recapture the carefree joy of their youths? Find out in this haunting and heartwarming conclusion to L.M. Montgomery's classic series.

This was the second Emily book I read. So enjoyable. A perfect escape to the reality of the modern world.

My mum read this to me as I was growing up. How lovely to hear this rich story read to me once more. Listen and dream.

Nothing short of wonderful

I usually read James Patterson, or similar authors. I always listen to Audible books as I fall asleep, but found myself waking from strange dreams.

I wondered if it was the nature of the books I was listening to. After all, torture and murder hardly set you up for a peaceful nights sleep. So I decided to return to the books of my childhood and see if I could rekindle the peace they brought me then.

My days are frazzled, my evenings now filled with gentle books like this. I had read Anne of Green Gables but never had read the New Moon series.

These are lovely books, the characters so real and I loved listening to what life was like back then. The nightmares have gone, my sleep so much better.

I thoroughly recommend this book and others by the same author
