Rocco Caldo is tall, dark, and handsome, but not interested in love. Loyal to a fault, he can’t turn away an old friend in need or a beautiful woman on the run...especially when they have unfinished business.

Rebel Bishop is a single mom looking for shelter, not a handout. But when her path crosses with an old flame, they uncover an ember of passion that’s been smoldering inside them both for over a decade.

Can they move beyond their tragic past, allowing the flame to burn bright into their future?

Ember is the seventh full-length stand-alone novel in the Men of Inked Heatwave series by USA Today best-selling author Chelle Bliss.

This book is heartbreakingly emotional. With all the feels these characters are written so very well. Chelae, you have out done yourself. Samantha and Connor both give a wonderful performance.

I love this book/series. I love Izzy and James even more after listening to this book. There are some serious heartfelt moments in here. I wanted to knock Rebel in her head a couple of times but I got past it. I am so in love with this family! The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book/series. 🎧Audiobook obsession

I really really loved the characters in this book. Not just Rebel and Rocco, but Adeline (Rebel's daughter) and Carmello (Rocco's twin brother). Also, I adored the scenes with the extended Gallo/Caldo family, many of whom I've read about in other books. Each time I listen or read one of these books, it's like being folded back into this awesome family. This one is also very emotional, given the loss that ties these characters together, a loss that led to a separation between Rebel and Rocco. But this second chance romance was sweet, hot and worth the wait. Rebel was a fantastic character- strong, smart and loving. But Rocco, with his alpha awesomeness but sweet heart definitely stole my heart. (And I loved how he was with Adeline).

The narration for the audiobook, which I received upon request, was amazing. This is the second time I've heard Connor Crais narrate and he has the perfect voice for Rocco- a little gravely, deep but he is also able to play the female voices pretty seamlessly. Samantha Brentmoor was great too. Her male voice was a little scratchy but it didn't take away from the story. Overall, this was a fantastic audiobook that I plan on listening to again!!

Awesome characters, great narration
