In this epochal book, Immanuel Velikovsky, one of the great scientists of modern times, puts the complete histories of our Earth and of humanity on a new basis. He presents the results of his 10-year-long interdisciplinary research in an easily understandable, even entertaining manner. In spite - or even because - of the disgraceful hostility provoked by his theories, this book keeps being of ardent topicality, which in the light of recent scientific research is even growing.

Earth in Upheaval - a very exactly investigated and easily understandable book - contains material that completely revolutionizes our view of the history of the earth.

For all those who have ever wondered about the evolution of the Earth, the formation of mountains and oceans, the origin of coal or fossils, the question of the ice ages and the history of animal and plant species, Earth in Upheaval is a must-listen!

You could read that (not that I agree with all of it), and not know it was written @ 70 years ago. Excellent book

Enjoyed listening to the book that I had read in the 1970’s as a teenager and enjoyed. My only question is were there 2 narrators as sometimes there appeared to be

Two narrators?

I heard the free versions on YouTube years ago, but its so much better with a human narrator, who did a perfectly good job 👏. This is still the best counter argument to Darwin, and the best advocacy for catastrophism I've ever heard, stated in the usual eloquent manner that Velikovsky is known for.

I'd recommend this book before getting worlds in Collision, now I've heard both, I think that book is a more appropriate sequel to this, but I wouldn't say its necessary to go in that order.

Definitely recommend 👌

so much better than the robot voice version on YT

An amazing book, I am so glad I downloaded it. What an wonderful mind, I just wish I had had a chance to meet him or attend his lectures/classes. I shall be downloading more of his works.

Enlightening

I caught this whilst it was available in the audible plus catalogue, so I went in with zero expectations. And it was was absolute banger! A must listen for anybody who likes to know everything. Earth in Turmoil is a first class primer about how we know what we know about the different geological ages and the causes of those (often catastrophic) transitions. 5 stars! will listen again, even if I have to part with a precious credit to do so.
