A brilliant investigation into the motivations and methods behind the actions of Hogwarts's renowned Headmaster!

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, is one of the most recognizable and mysterious figures in the Harry Potter series. As an unscrupulous beetle-like journalist once said, he's "a biographer's dream." Is he omniscient or limited? Is he benevolent or malevolent? What really drove him in the last years of an extraordinary life?

Dumbledore dives between the lines of the Harry Potter books to create a portrait of the controversial Headmaster. We find Dumbledore's hand in every seeming coincidence and consider the impossible decisions he had to make. This in-depth examination from author Irvin Khaytman casts the events of the Harry Potter series in a whole new light, resolving fans' questions that linger to this day.

I loved this in depth book of Dumbledore. It goes through each Book and for a Harry Potter nerd like me, it was interesting.

The - Dash - References - Dash - were - Dash - Annoying.

These could have easily been listed at the end. It was so annoying!

Great Analysis / The References were infuriating!

Narration was dry. The constant reading of URLs in footnotes really took you out of the story.
The book it self, the thoughts and hypothesis about Dumbledore were interesting.
Would not listen again.

Why read all the links ?

A joy to listen to, story- and narration-wise alike, but, as has already been pointed out before, the spelling out of references in footnotes was rather annoying.

Brilliant and in-depth

dislike the footnotes. apart from that its ok. I use audible to calm down this wound me right up.

The foot notes are a real distraction . It's ok but not heard another book on audible do it this way.

content is good, but the narration is awful - sounds artificial and devoid of life, thoroughly spoiling the experience.

awful artificial sounding voice
