Drake Morgan, MD, bass player, philanthropist - Dominant.

Known as Master "D" in Manhattan's BDSM Community, Drake must keep the kinky side of his life secret to protect his very successful career as a neurosurgeon. After a heartbreaking divorce, Drake doesn't do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn't do breakfast in bed the morning after. He keeps everything in his well-ordered life separate and under his firm control.

Then Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up. Now, nothing is neat and tidy anymore, and no longer under control for Drake is smitten and things are going to get messy....

Intended for 18+ for explicit content.

NOTE: This is a retelling of The Commitment from Drake's point of view. It includes all new scenes, as well as every scene from The Commitment but from Drake's point of view.

So this was my first listen from Jack Calihan and so I was neither disappointed nor excited but my actual feeling was meh. I liked how Jack was able to portray Drake and his emotions were in check for the character.

Intriguing

I thought the best part of Drake Unwound was Jack Calihan’s narration. He does a great job of bringing the characters to life, unfortunately S.E. Lund’s vision of them just didn’t work for me. I just couldn’t get behind Drake or Kate to root for them to get to their HEA which I believe comes in the next story.

While I enjoyed this book, I didn't like it quite as much as Drake Restrained. I feel like Drake was less dominate and this book was less about BDSM and more about drama with other characters. If you love this series, I would definitely recommend listening to Kate's point of view in the Unrestrained series. I'm looking forward to continuing on with book 3. Jack Calihan does a great job bringing this story to life.

Book 2 in the series. It continues where book 1 left off . This story is a spicy BDSM story.
Hero is Drake (a doctor ) heroine is Kate .

The BDSM lifestyle has always interested Kate. She wants to learn it as a sub . Drake wants her to be his sub , at the beginning Kate doesn’t feel comfortable with Drake being her Dom , Drake knew her father. But after a while both Drake and Kate become close , they have a connection. People try to keep them apart . No matter how hard the people try Kate and Drake always drift together again

Jack performance was great. His voice is very smooth, strong and clear

Thank you audio book obsession for the great listen

This is a retelling of a previous book from the H's POV. Should definitely read the original book from the h's POV before reading/listening to this one. I really enjoyed this version, and though the author did a good job no repeating.
Jack Calihan did a great job bringing Drake to life.
