Özet

As a surgical intern, my life is a relentless cycle of work and more work.

If I lose focus, even for one second, my career could be on the line.

So when my living situation unexpectedly changes, the last thing I need is the distraction of house hunting.

Which is why I don't hesitate to say yes when my best friend and esteemed surgeon, Dr. Parker Winters, comes to my rescue with an offer I can't refuse: a room in his luxurious penthouse, free of charge.

The only condition? Keep an eye on his little sister.

It sounds straightforward until I discover my new roommate is none other than the woman who's been haunting my thoughts since I first met her. The one who never called me back and is now utterly off-limits.

In the fiercely competitive field of orthopedics, I've learned to fight for what I want. But what if what I want most is the one thing I should avoid at all costs–my best friend’s sister...

Ok! I throughly enjoyed this book a lot more than the first. I think I just found a new trope I like of “brother’s best friend”. I enjoyed Joe Arden and Andi Eloise and their portrayal of both Beau and Claire. Lexi, you had me laughing and gasping out loud while blushing from some of the filthy things you wrote on top of how both narrators bought the words to life.

I also appreciated that “my sex” was not used quite as much this book. The audio was fantastic and blended seamlessly. Great job to everyone involved!

The ending?!

Beau can't get Claire off his mind. After meeting her once, she is the woman who sticks in his head and all others are now compared to her. But he can't keep thinking about her, his career is just beginning to take hold as an orthopedic surgeon. This job is everything and he hasn't had a chance to find a place to stay. When his friend Parker offers him a room in his penthouse, he is thankful. But there is a hitch. Parker's sister will be there as well, and he has to keep an eye on her. And it's Claire. What happens next? Lexie Woods pens a fabulous story full of spice and chemistry. I love her style because as Beau and Claire drive the passion, their growing as a couple too. A story with heart and heat, it's a fabulous listen.

Andi Eloise and Joe Arden are fantastic together as they bring Beau and Claire alive. Eloise gives Claire a bit of innocent maturity, ready to take on the world, yet holds back a little. The spunk is perfect for her personality. Arden is the confident boyfriend, but falling first has him in a whole new ball game. His growth as a person comes through Arden's portrayal with ease. I loved these two and enjoyed their performance.

Beau!!! What a Doctor!
