Özet

If you don’t like the rules, make new ones.

If you want to be the best, show no fear.

And if Ryker Black is your boyfriend, you better be ready to fight. On and off the slopes.

Overnight, Roxie Slade went from an outsider at Stark Springs Academy to a ruler at the prestigious boarding school for elite winter athletes. But Roxie didn’t know if she wanted that power, and she definitely wasn’t sure about sharing it with Ryker Black, who came from a different world and lived by a different set of morals. Ryker may have decided to trust her, but could she trust him?

Roxie only cared about her rising position in the ski rankings, but now her status at Stark and within the winter sports community is skyrocketing, whether she asked for it or not. Can she handle both while attempting a real relationship with Ryker Black? Roxie once believed that her sole purpose was proving herself on the slopes, but she’s done that once, and she’s far from satisfied. She has so much more to prove.

This is the second book in this trilogy and it just keeps getting better. I love the dynamic better Roxie and Ryker and I can’t wait to see where their relationship will go.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

With the previous drama settled, I was hoping we would get to see some growth between Roxie and Ryker. And while we did see Ryker open up and share with Roxie, it still felt like there were still things holding them back.

They did grow closer, and I adored how he managed to surprise her. I think that was maybe my favourite part of the book. I also liked getting to see the developing relationships between the other characters. The budding friendships and trusted besties coming together.

But HELLO MEAN GIRL! I kind of saw it coming.
And, then... the bomb. And just when I thought the drama was done...
Um, what was that ending? Did I hear that correctly? Oh! What happened? I NEED ANSWERS.
Look out book three, here I come!

Leanne, once again, did a fabulous job with the narration and accents.

I think I have more questions that I need answered now than when I started this second book!!! There’s more sabotage in this book. The characters are developing well. Leanne is great for these books.

Roxie and Ryker are adjusting to their new relationship and trying to balance the time they need to improve their sports with the time they want to spend together. By dating Ryker, Roxie has become part of upper social hierarchy at the school, but it is not a position she wants and she starts making changes so that it no longer exists.

Not everyone is happy that they are together and about the changes that are being made. If they are going to triumph over the obstacles that others are throwing in their way they must learn to trust and confide in each other. The narrator does a great job both with the escalating relationship between Roxie and Ryker and the intrigue component of the story. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

The rules have now changed and Roxie is now the head of the pack. She has changed the rules and everyone must adjust or be left behind. Roxie must now understand that she has the power and that everyone is looking to her to see what will now happen. But she fails to remember that she has created enemies and beware of what they could do.
