She's welcomed into the family, but will she survive them? Dividing Line is the first book in the Dividing Line Series of crime audiobooks.

When Rachel marries Danny Maguire, younger son of the most powerful criminal family in Manchester, she thinks she can cope with his way of life. After all, he's the legitimate face of the family, isn't he? When war breaks out between the Maguires and their deadly rivals, the Law family, Rachel is dragged into the criminal underworld and she must turn her back on her old life and embrace this new, dangerous one if she is to survive. As the war increases in ferocity, Rachel discovers another woman inside herself, a strong, ruthless one who will stop at nothing to root out the traitors in the family's ranks and protect those she loves.©2013 Heather Atkinson (P)2020 W. A book about gangsters that’s tries to hit every theme in the genre in a fast paced, but monotonous, single plot script. Not worth your time. I have up at 40% & still wasted time.

One dimensional & predictable

A good, fast paced story, badly let down by the slowest of deliveries. This is the one and only time I’ve adjusted the playback speed out of 500+ books.

Try it at 1.3x speed

NOOW THIS WAS A REALLY GOOD SRORY ABOUT CRIME AND GANGS ETC BUT THE NARRATION WAS AWFUL SHE HAD A NICE VOICE BUT ACCENTS WERE DREADFUL THANK GOD BIG FRANKIE DIDN'T SAY MUCH BEING SCOTS IT WAS WORDUL TO HEAR. THE MANC ACCENTS SOMETIMES SOUNDRD SLIGHTLY LIVERPUDLIAN
I THINK THE NARRATOR SHOULD GO AND PRACTICE ACCENTS OR JUST WORK ON STORIES TO PUT YOU TO SLEEP SORRY BUT

NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO THE SEEING

Not my usual listen; but I’ve really loved it & to have a strong women lead from nurse to crime boss, is worth a look. Was intrigued to see how the story unfolded. Liked it the more I listened, loved tht Rachel was able to be sexy & femine, but ultimately strong, clever & respected. Lots of twists & turns. I have to say, was a little sad tht Ryan didn’t get the woman; but I loved their last sensual meeting especially it’s setting!! Fab narration, I could visualise the characters, the places, the crime & passion. Compelling, exciting & unexpected. Looking forward to book 2
